Kwahu Business Forum to Spur Job Creation – Julius Debrah

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has emphasized the strategic significance of the upcoming Kwahu Business Forum, describing it as a powerful platform for attracting investment, supporting local entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable jobs for Ghanaians.
Scheduled to take place on April 19, 2025, the forum forms part of activities marking the annual Easter festivities in the Eastern Region and is expected to draw together a wide array of stakeholders — including policymakers, investors, industry leaders, and young entrepreneurs — under one roof to explore new frontiers in business development.
Speaking ahead of the forum, Mr. Debrah reaffirmed government’s strong commitment to private sector growth and economic inclusion, pointing out that the forum aligns closely with President John Dramani Mahama’s broader national development strategy. As part of that vision, government is working to facilitate the establishment of over 600 enterprises during President Mahama’s four-year term — a bold initiative aimed at expanding the productive base of the economy and tackling youth unemployment.
“The Kwahu Business Forum is more than just a seasonal event. It is a deliberate and strategic economic platform aimed at catalyzing enterprise development and unlocking capital,” Mr. Debrah stated. He further stressed that the forum is designed to link investors with local businesses and create collaborative opportunities that can transform ideas into sustainable ventures.
The 2025 edition of the forum is expected to focus heavily on innovation, digital transformation, agribusiness, tourism, green economy, and manufacturing. Organizers say the platform will also host panel discussions, startup exhibitions, networking sessions, and financing dialogues to enable participants to gain insights and build meaningful partnerships.
This year’s theme, “Driving Enterprise and Innovation for Economic Transformation,” reflects government’s recognition that the private sector remains a critical engine for job creation, particularly for the country’s growing youthful population.
Over the past few years, the Kwahu Easter festivities have evolved beyond recreational tourism into a powerful economic magnet. With the support of government and private sponsors, the forum is now positioned as a flagship business event, harnessing the energy and visibility of the festive season to advance real economic impact. The Chief of Staff called on stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to fully participate and lend their support to the event. He reiterated that lasting national development must be anchored in productive partnerships and sustained investments in enterprise, and the Kwahu Business Forum presents a unique opportunity to do just that.
