West Ham manager opens up after Kudus missed Wolves clash
West Ham United manager Graham Potter has disclosed that the last-minute injury to Mohammed Kudus before their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers affected the team.
The Hammers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolves at the Molineux on Tuesday evening, with the Ghanaian failing to make the trip. Kudus picked an injury during training on Monday few days after his return from international duty.
“It was difficult, we lost Mo [Kudus to injury] yesterday and [Jean-Clair] Todibo as well, so we had to readjust quickly,” said Potter after the game.
“We felt that Luis could help us in terms of his pace if we won the ball back. We just didn’t manage to find him enough times.
“They’ll get better for the experience. Ollie as well has had a good game in terms of how he dug-in as well. Again, it’s all experiences for him.
“At the same time, we know we need to get points, so we’ve got to strike that balance.”
Meanwhile, it is yet to be known the length of his injury as West Ham switch their attention to the game against Bournemouth on Saturday. Kudus has been an important player for the London club despite the Hammers struggles in the English Premier League.
