West Ham boss backs Mohammed Kudus to overcome ‘disappointing’ campaign
West Ham United manager Graham Potter has expressed his satisfaction with Mohammed Kudus’ performance, despite the Ghana midfielder’s struggles in front of goal this season.
Kudus has scored only three goals and provided two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Potter acknowledged that Kudus might be disappointed with his numbers, but emphasized that his value to the team goes beyond just goals and assists.
“I think Mo has had probably a season that, from his perspective, would be a little bit disappointing… but sometimes these things happen,” Potter said.
The West Ham boss highlighted Kudus’ impressive performance against Arsenal, where he played a crucial role in the team’s win despite not scoring or assisting.
“He was a top, top player in that game and massively helped us,” Potter noted.
Potter’s praise suggests that he is pleased with Kudus’ overall contribution to the team, even if his goal-scoring form has been disappointing.
