Antoine Semenyo wants to improve goals return at Black Stars

Black Stars striker, Antoine Semenyo is targeting better and improved performance after scoring in the senior national team’s big win against Chad.
The AFC Bournemouth striker broke the deadlock as Ghana secured a 5-0 win against the Chadians in the Matchday five games in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The goal against Chad was Semenyo’s third for the Black Stars in 21 games since making his debut in 2022.
“I definitely want more goals. For sure. I think any player that plays in an attacking position wants more goals, but I feel like it’s been some decent performances, some not great performances, but I mean, I’m quite humble. I know when I’ve played well. I know when I’ve played pretty badly,” he told SuperSport.
Semenyo admitted he has not been clutch for the national team, but he’s optimistic that he can only get better.
“So I’ll just say it’s just like a steady slope. It’s just been very average, and I feel like I can still give, give more,” he added. “So I hope no one’s judging me from these 26 games I’ve played so far. But yeah, there’s more to come.”
After scoring against Chad, Semenyo will hope he can get on the scoresheet again when the Black Stars face Madagascar in the Matchday six games tonight at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium.
