Karpowership Ghana marks Int’l Day of Education with donation to La Bawaleshie Presby School

Karpowership Ghana has marked the 2025 International Day of Education by donating essential educational and sanitary supplies to the La Bawaleshie Presbyterian School in East Legon. The initiative aligns with the global theme, “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation,” which highlights the critical role of education in navigating technological advancements.
The donation, made on Friday, included exercise books, storybooks, pens, pencils, cardboards, learning aids for teachers, handwashing stations, and dustbins. These items aim to improve the teaching and learning environment for over 700 students while enhancing hygiene and sanitation in the school.

Sandra Amarquaye, Communications Manager for Karpowership Ghana, reiterated the company’s dedication to empowering education and fostering community development.
“Education is a cornerstone of societal growth, and at Karpowership Ghana, we are proud to contribute to initiatives that empower students and teachers with the resources they need to thrive. As we mark the International Day of Education, we reflect on the critical role education plays in preserving human agency, especially in an age of automation. We hope this donation inspires students to embrace innovation and pursue excellence,” she stated.
Impact on Students and Teachers
The Headmaster of La Bawaleshie Presbyterian School, Rev. Charlemagne Aryee, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, noting its importance amid ongoing national health concerns.
“This donation comes at a crucial time as we tackle an acute cholera outbreak as a country. The sanitary items will help our students practice proper handwashing and maintain high standards of hygiene. This support significantly improves our learning environment and provides vital assistance to both students and teachers. We are profoundly grateful to Karpowership Ghana for being a blessing to us,” Rev. Aryee said.
Students’ Excitement
The donation brought visible joy to the students. Patience Efepke, a student, shared her excitement: “The new books and pens will help us take better notes and complete our assignments on time. It’s great to know that people care about our education.”
