“We gave Kotoko too much respect” – Vision FC coach

By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Vision FC head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang has revealed that his team’s 4-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko was partly due to showing too much respect to their opponents.

Agyemang praised Kotoko’s tactical approach, admitting that his side’s deference may have contributed to their loss.

According to Agyemang, Kotoko’s coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, had his team watch Agyemang’s pre-match interview five times to capitalise on his comments and prepare their strategy. This meticulous approach paid off, as Kotoko executed their game plan effectively.

“We gave Asante Kotoko too much respect in the game,” Agyemang said. “But I must congratulate them on their professionalism and tactical awareness.”

Agyemang’s remarks served as a learning moment for his team, emphasising the importance of maintaining confidence and composure in high-stakes matches.

The win means Kotoko are now unbeaten in their last six games with five wins and are comfortable sitting in the third position after the first half of the season.

With just a point adrift off the top, the Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to go all out to chase their title dreams in the upcoming fixtures.
