Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 set for Jan 30 to Feb 1

THE Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2025, a premier platform for discussing Africa’s economic integration, is scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Themed ‘Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate,’ this landmark event aims to further the African Continental Free Trade Area’s (AfCFTA) vision of creating the world’s largest single market by member states.

Organized by the Africa Prosperity Network in collaboration with the AfCFTA Secretariat and under the patronage of the Office of the President of Ghana, APD 2025 is expected to bring together nearly 3,000 participants.

The line-up includes African heads of state, industry giants, CEOs, policymakers, ministers, thought leaders, and development partners.

Driving Africa’s Integration Through Infrastructure

This year’s discussions will focus on leveraging infrastructure development to create a unified African market of 1.4 billion consumers.

Key topics will explore strategies to foster innovation and achieve integrated economic growth, ensuring shared prosperity across the continent.

The summit will open on January 30 with the launch of the Projet Afrique Exhibition, showcasing infrastructure and investment opportunities across Africa.

High-level side events and expert discussions will focus on critical areas such as infrastructure financing and transport systems to facilitate free movement across borders.

The day concludes with a Welcome Reception at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra.

Innovating for a Sustainable Future

Day Two, January 31, will feature panels on transformative topics, including:

            •           Sustainable energy solutions for Africa’s development.

            •           Expanding digital infrastructure for economic integration.

            •           Enhancing Africa’s manufacturing capacity to boost trade under AfCFTA.

            •           Improving STEM education and healthcare systems for sustained growth.

            •           Promoting sustainable urban development in Africa’s rapidly growing cities.

The day’s open forum will invite participants to contribute ideas, forming the basis of the summit’s outcome document with actionable recommendations.

High-Level Engagements on the Final Day

The event’s final day, February 1, will see the High-Level Heads of State and Business Leaders’ Dialogue, including a Presidential Roundtable focused on creating policy frameworks to encourage private sector investment in Africa’s single market.

At least six African heads of state have confirmed their participation, underscoring the importance of the event.

Notable highlights include fireside conversations on BADEA’s $50 billion Investment Fund and insights from one of Africa’s leading industrialists.

The day will conclude with the prestigious Africa Prosperity Champions Awards and Presidential Gala Dinner, a black-tie event celebrating individuals and organizations for their contributions to the continent’s prosperity and integration goals.
