Watching football for hours is waste of time – Nana Kwame Bediako

Independent presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has advised Ghanaian youth to reconsider how they spend their time, particularly on watching football, which he believes is unproductive.
Cheddar, who is contesting for the presidency for the first time, has been vocal about his mission to end the duopoly between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
His campaign has focused on encouraging the youth to embrace his vision for change.
“I think that first of all, if you spend two hours watching football almost every two days, in a year, you would have spent 1,000 hours or 500 hours of your time watching football. Meanwhile, someone is getting paid $500,000 a week to play, but you watch them for free and spend your valuable hours on it,” he stated on GTV’s Presidential Encounters.
“I don’t think that is a good investment because your time is your most important asset, and you have to use it sensibly,” he added.
Ghanaians will cast their votes on Saturday, December 7, 2024, and Cheddar is positioning himself as a fresh alternative to traditional party politics.
