New Lands Commission office complex to enhance land Administration in Ghana

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has hailed the commissioning of an eight-story Lands Commission office complex in Accra as a major milestone in improving land administration and service delivery in Ghana.
The state-of-the-art facility will consolidate the operations of the Lands Commission and its allied divisions under one roof, fostering synergy and boosting productivity.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Jinapor underscored the transformative potential of the new edifice in addressing long-standing challenges in land administration.
“For years, the absence of a suitable office complex forced the commission’s divisions to operate from separate locations, hampering efforts to harmonize land administration. Today, this ultramodern structure brings the commission and its divisions together, providing a conducive atmosphere for efficient work,” he said.
A Testament to Govt’s Commitment
Mr. Jinapor described the building as a testament to the government’s dedication to creating a transparent and accessible land administration system, which he said is pivotal for economic growth and development.
“This ultramodern edifice stands as proof of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government’s commitment to ensuring that land services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and professionally,” the minister stated.
Broad Infrastructure Expansion
In addition to the new office complex, the minister highlighted ongoing efforts to expand the Lands Commission’s infrastructure across the country. Earlier this year, a new regional office for the Greater Accra Lands Commission was commissioned, and a similar facility for the Tema District Office is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025.
“We are also working to construct 12 new regional offices for the commission nationwide, providing a conducive environment for staff and ensuring efficient service delivery,” he added.
Improving Land Service Delivery
The new office complex and other ongoing infrastructure projects are expected to revolutionize land administration in Ghana. By housing all divisions of the Lands Commission under one roof, the facility will eliminate logistical hurdles, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery for Ghanaians and all stakeholders in need of land-related services. As Ghana continues to prioritize the modernization of land administration systems, the new office complex represents a significant step toward achieving an efficient, transparent, and user-friendly system that supports the country’s broader development goals.
