The week-long celebration will begin on November 9 with a Health Walk through Tamale’s major streets, inviting participants to wear commemorative anniversary T-shirts. The walk will be followed by a Homecoming tour of the school, reconnecting current students, alumni, and community members and reinforcing Sakasaka’s enduring role in Tamale’s educational landscape.
The main event will take place on November 16 at the Sakasaka Cluster of Schools Grounds, featuring a full day of activities from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Highlights include a football gala with friendly matches among alumni, students, and teachers, as well as free health screenings for all attendees. The celebration will culminate in a formal ceremony attended by a distinguished guest, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana and an alumnus of Sakasaka. Dr. Bawumia is expected to deliver remarks acknowledging Sakasaka’s profound impact on his life and the community.
