Mohammed Kudus nets 10th EPL goal, sent off after clash with Spurs players

By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus was on target for West Ham United on his return from international duty but unfortunately received the marching orders in his outfit game against Tottenham Hotspurs.

The Black Stars midfielder scored the consolation goal as the Hammers succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Kudus opened the floodgate for the London-based club after just 18 minutes into the thrilling clash but the former UEFA Champions League finalist staged a strong comeback to secure a resounding home win.

The home team pulled parity in the 36th-minute mark through Dejan Kulusevski after an assist from England international James Madisson as the first half ended in a draw.

However, a spirited performance from the host in the second half saw Tottenham snatch victory over the Hammers.

Mali international Yves Bissouma found the net in the 52nd minute to extend the lead for Tottenham before goalkeeper Alphonse Areola scored an own goal three minutes later to make it 3-1 for the host.
