Premium vehicle registration and driver license centre opens in Accra
ACCRA residents now have access to a more streamlined and efficient process for vehicle registration and driver’s license applications with the launch of the new Premium Vehicle Registration and Driver License Ultra Centre.
Located in the heart of the capital, this state-of-the-art facility promises to deliver faster, more convenient services for citizens and businesses alike.
The Ultra Centre, operated by Bridge Direct in collaboration with VFS Global, aims to provide applicants with a comfortable and efficient environment for handling their vehicle and driver license needs. From license renewals to vehicle registrations, the Centre offers a range of services designed to simplify these essential processes.
In a statement at the launch, Mr. Alok Singhal, Head of Sub-Saharan Africa for VFS Global, expressed confidence in the Centre’s ability to provide a world-class service experience.
“With the new Ultra DVLA Centre in Accra, we are confident of delivering applicants a world-class service experience, leveraging our global expertise in providing transparent and scalable solutions in the citizen services space,” Singhal said.
He highlighted the Centre’s focus on offering personalized service and managing high application volumes with faster processing times.
Since its operations began in 2005, VFS Global has played a crucial role in supporting Ghana’s economic development, employing over 100 individuals who work daily to uphold the highest levels of service and security.
Key services offered
The new facility offers a wide array of services to meet the needs of drivers and vehicle owners. These services include Driver’s license renewals; License replacements; Record amendments; Lost license replacements; Issuance of International Driving Permits; Foreign license conversions; Vehicle registration services; International vehicle permits
VFS Global’s regional expertise
VFS Global has a proven track record of managing similar centres across Africa. Since 2022, the company has operated International Driving Permit Centres in major South African cities, including Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, and Pretoria.
These centres, managed on behalf of the Automobile Association of South Africa (AASA), have streamlined the process for obtaining International Driving Permits for South African residents.
In addition, VFS Global also manages a Premium Driving License Application Centre in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, operated by Concierge Travels in collaboration with the River State Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Road Safety Commission.
With the opening of the Ultra Centre, residents of Accra can expect faster processing times, better service quality, and greater convenience in handling their vehicle and driver license applications.
