Lekzy DeComic’s “The New False” promises more than just comedy
The much-anticipated comedy event, The New False by Lekzy DeComic, is set to offer more than just laughter. Organizers have added a creative twist, blending comedy with other forms of art, including live music performances. One of the highlights of the night will be the guest appearance of Ghanaian musician, songwriter, rapper, and producer, EL.
EL, a former Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, is renowned for his string of hit songs. He is expected to bring an electrifying performance to the audience, treating them to his popular bangers as they enjoy a night filled with comedic brilliance.
The New False comedy event is scheduled for September 28, 2024, at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra. In addition to EL’s performance, an impressive lineup of comedians, including Jacinta, Jeneral Ntatia, Foster Romanus, Papa Yaw, Kojo Pjay, Oojoo, and Dan Kwaku Yeboah, will take the stage to deliver non-stop humor.
The title of the show, The New False, is a witty parody of the new political movement, The New Force, spearheaded by business mogul Nana Kwame Bediako. Taking inspiration from the unveiling of Bediako as a presidential aspirant, Lekzy cleverly created masked images around town prior to announcing his comedy special. This sparked public speculation, with many assuming it was another political figure preparing to launch a campaign.
Lekzy’s “The New False” promises to be his biggest and most memorable comedy event yet, blending satire and humor with a reflection on Ghana’s political landscape. The show aims not only to entertain but also to offer comic relief amidst the political tension in the country. Lekzy and his production team at 2Cute Entertainment are determined to use comedy to address some of the pressing issues faced by Ghanaians, doing so in a light-hearted and non-provocative way.

Lekzy’s dedication to his craft has earned him numerous accolades, including the Best Comedy Special award for CanPAIN MESSage at the 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards.
