Kamaldeen Sulemana returns to Southampton after botched Ajax move

Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana’s move from Southampton to Ajax fell through after paperwork delays on transfer deadline day in the Netherlands.
The 22-year-old was set to join the Dutch giants on a season-long loan with an option to buy for around 20 million, euros but the transfer hit a snag due to the late submission of documents.
The move seemed promising after Steve Bergwijn’s transfer to Saudi club Al-Ittihad opened up space for Sulemana to join Ajax.
However, the timing proved crucial, and the paperwork couldn’t be completed before the deadline.
Despite efforts from all parties involved, FIFA rejected the late request to finalise the transfer, as reported by Dutch and Ajax journalist Mike Verweij.
As a result, Sulemana will remain with Southampton, where he will focus on recovering from injury and working his way back into Russell Martin’s squad for the rest of the season.
