Gold Fields Ghana invests $16.2m in State-of-the-Art stadium

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has commended Gold Fields Ghana for its strategic investment in the reconstruction and handover of a state-of-the-art stadium in Tarkwa, valued at $16.2 million, to the National Sports Council.

This significant project exemplifies Gold Fields Ghana’s ongoing commitment to sustainable community development and its pivotal role in the socio-economic progress of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem and Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality.

The newly developed stadium, with a seating capacity of over 10,000, is poised to become a central hub for community activities, driving sports development and serving as a modern venue for cultural and social events.

This project not only enhances the infrastructure of Tarkwa but also contributes to the economic vibrancy of the region by attracting various events that will stimulate local businesses and services.
