Mental health expert advocates for mindfulness to unlock full potential

Mental Health Catalyst Mr. Michael Amankwah has reiterated the significance of living in the present moment to unlock one’s full potential and improve mental health.
Speaking on the Personal Development Series of the Zed in the Morning show, Mr. Amankwah emphasised that focusing on the present allows individuals to release worries about the past or future, fostering a sense of calmness and clarity.
Mr. Amankwah explained that conscious awareness of the present moment is crucial for managing distractions and maintaining focus. Furthermore, living in the moment, individuals can access their full potential, leading to a more fulfilling life.
According to recent studies, mindfulness practices have been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being.
During his discussions on the show, Mr. Amankwah provided practical tips for incorporating mindfulness into daily life. He suggested simple practices such as deep breathing exercises, mindful eating, and taking short breaks throughout the day to check in with oneself. These practices, he noted, can help individuals stay grounded and present, even in the midst of a hectic schedule.
