Excitement builds in Kumasi as NPP prepares to unveil Napo as Bawumia’s running mate
The city of Kumasi is buzzing with anticipation as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) gears up for the grand unveiling of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as the running mate of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This event follows the National Council of the NPP’s confirmation of NAPO as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate. President Akufo-Addo has officially endorsed the Bawumia-Opoku Prempeh ticket, expressing strong confidence in their leadership capabilities as the 2024 general election approaches.
Party stalwarts, including political strategist Gabby Otchere-Darko, have advised Dr. Opoku Prempeh to remain focused and supportive of the presidential candidate to ensure an NPP victory in December.
Following the unveiling, the NPP presidential candidate will head to the Northern Region to begin another leg of his campaign tour across the five Northern regions. From there, Dr. Bawumia plans to move southwards, covering the entire country and engaging with the youth, grassroots supporters, and other key stakeholders.
The party through this is seeking to connect with the citizen especially at its stronghold and highlight its achievements, and articulate Dr. Bawumia’s transformative vision for Ghana’s future.
