George Afriyie unsure about another GFA presidential attempt

Former Ghana Football Association vice president, George Afriyie, is uncertain about his plans to challenge for the presidential seat again.
Afriyie’s aspirations to lead the football governing body faced a setback last year when he was disqualified ahead of the election, ultimately won by Kurt Okraku.
Following his disqualification, Afriyie appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
However, earlier this month, the case was dismissed, adding another layer of uncertainty to his future endeavours.
With this latest development, Afriyie has expressed doubts about vying for the presidency again.
“Nobody knows tomorrow. I have not taken any decision yet, but in life, you just have to focus and do what you want to do, and then when there is time and opportunity to do anything, why not,” he told Graphic Sports.
On the decision to dismiss his appeal, he added, “I just gave my opinion, and I said per what the CAS ruling is, I have accepted it, so we move.”
It’s worth noting that Afriyie previously served as the vice president of the association under Kwesi Nyantakyi.
