Bofoakwa Tano coach John Eduafo eyes MTN FA Cup after reaching historic final

Bofoakwa Tano head coach John Eduafo has expressed his ambition to secure the MTN FA Cup title and potentially lead his team to compete in Africa.

Eduafo’s side secured a 2-1 win over Dreams FC in the semi-final of the competition.

Bofoakwa displayed a determined performance at the WAFA Park in Sogakope against the reigning champions, with Eduafo’s tactical decisions proving crucial to their success on the path to potentially making history.

Addressing the press after the game, Eduafo voiced his confidence in his team’s ability to qualify for African competitions.

He views such an achievement as both a personal milestone and a significant progression for his team and coaching career.

“Why not? Every coach’s dream is to play and get to the final, win the final and of course go to Africa.

“So it’s every coach’s dream and it’s also my dream as well to play in the final, win the final and go to Africa”, he said.

Despite the upcoming final scheduled for June, Bofoakwa Tano will redirect their focus to the Ghana Premier League, where they currently sit just one point above the relegation zone.

Eduafo’s team is in contention to represent Ghana in continental competitions, similar to Dreams FC last season.

However, they face the responsibility of maintaining consistency and delivering strong performances between now and the end of the season.
