By Eustace Nii AKWEI, Accra

Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has clinched West Ham United’s Goal of the Season accolade for his remarkable solo effort against Freiburg.

Kudus demonstrated exceptional courage and composure as he embarked on a mesmerizing solo run from his own half.

He evaded his markers with ease before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper in a thrilling Europa League encounter against the German side.

The announcement of this award came on Saturday, May 11, ahead of West Ham’s Premier League fixture against Luton Town.

Having joined the Hammers during the summer transfer window of 2023 from Ajax, the 23-year-old swiftly endeared himself to the fans at the London Stadium.

Kudus has been instrumental for David Moyes’ side, contributing to a total of 19 goals across all competitions, with 13 goals to his name and six assists.
