Notorious land guard Benlord Ababio, killer of a soldier caged.

A land guard who labelled himself as a sub-chief, Benlord Ababio, has been arrested for shooting to death of a military officer, Lance Corporal Danso Michael.
The deceased was shot around 4:20 pm on Tuesday, April 30.
The tragic incident unfolded at the Millennium City Police Station in the Central Region.
The events unfolded when Lance Corporal Omar, the owner of a disputed plot of land, received a call that a group was working on the property.
Accompanied by his colleagues, LC Ametus Mathew and LC Danso Michael, they visited the site and stopped the workers.
Upon reporting the incident at the police station, a land guard labelled a sub-chief, Benlord Ababio, arrived on the scene, threatening to shoot if they attempted to leave.
Despite having already filed their report, the officers decided to depart, but Benlord Ababio opened fire on their vehicle, striking Lance Corporal Danso Michael in the head.
The police promptly apprehended Ben Lord, and the victim was rushed to Mother and Child Hospital at CP, Kasoa, where he was pronounced dead.
The body has been transported to the 37 Military Hospital, and Benlord Ababio is currently in custody at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
The dispute over the land had been ongoing, with Lance Corporal Omar previously reporting the issue to the Millennium police station.
The police had advised both parties to stay off the land until the matter was resolved.
The incident highlights the escalating tensions and violence surrounding land disputes in the region.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the events leading up to the tragic incident.
