National Paralympic Committee set to hold elections on October 4

The National Paralympic Committee has scheduled their Elective Congress for October 4, 2024.
This decision garnered unanimous approval from its members during an event termed the “Extraordinary General Assembly,” held at the Airport West Hotel in Accra on April 21, 2024.
Among the resolutions adopted was the introduction of an annual affiliation fee of One Thousand Ghana Cedis, aimed at providing support to the committee in its administrative efforts.
Additionally, discussions centered on various critical issues, including the endorsement of Annual Membership Fees and the acknowledgment of new Para Sports and their respective Federations/Associations.
These sports encompass Adaptive Boxing, Boccia Sports, Para Biathlon, Wheelchair Rugby, Para Archery, and Wheelchair Softball. Furthermore, deliberations included amendments to Article 2 Membership: Sections 1 to 5.
In a preceding General Assembly convened on July 6, 2019, Samson Deen assumed the role of President of NPC-Ghana, alongside seven other officials: Mr. Frederick Otu as Vice President, Mr. Peter Adjei as Secretary-General, Mr. Evans Yeboah as Treasurer, Mr. Twum Barimah, Ibrahim Saani, Philip Otuo, and Henry Larbi as members.
