Partey and Inaki Join Black Stars Camp

The Black Stars have stepped up preparations for Tuesday’s international friendly against Wales, with 24 players taking part in a training session at Dragon Park as the team sharpens tactics ahead of the encounter.
The squad received a major boost on Saturday with the arrival of midfield mainstay Thomas Partey and forward Inaki Williams, who immediately joined their teammates in camp and took part in training.
Their presence adds experience and quality to the group as head coach Carlos Queiroz continues his assessment of the squad ahead of the international assignment and the next phase of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Training focused on tactical organisation, ball possession drills and team coordination. The players worked at high intensity, with several seeking to impress the technical team ahead of selection decisions for the match.
The friendly against Wales is expected to provide Ghana with a strong test against European opposition while offering the technical team the opportunity to assess combinations and individual performances.
Players currently in camp include Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati Zigi, Joseph Anang, Solomon Agbasi, Paul Reverson, Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Marvin Senaya, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas Asante, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey and Inaki Williams.
The blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents is expected to give the technical team a clearer assessment of squad depth as Ghana builds toward upcoming competitive fixtures.
The Black Stars will face Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, June 2, with kick off scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
The match is expected to draw strong interest from Ghanaian football fans eager to see the national team build cohesion and momentum ahead of future assignments.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Panama, England and Croatia. They will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before facing England and Croatia in the remaining group matches.
