Performance Tracker: 74 omitted projects added, 67 wrong entries deleted

Government has announced updates to its recently launched Performance Tracker, an initiative designed to enhance transparency and accountability in infrastructure project delivery nationwide.

In response to public feedback received since its launch, the Performance Tracker has been updated with information on 74 additional projects that were concluded by June 2023.

As part of the updates, some 67 entries that were mistakenly included have also been deleted.

The update was announced via a tweet from the official handle of the tracker database on the social networking site X.

“We have included 74 projects that should have been included as they had been concluded by June 2023.

“These updates come in response to public feedback,” the statement read.

The government expressed gratitude for the feedback received and reiterated its commitment to providing accurate project information to ensure transparency.

It assured the public of continuous updates to maintain an up-to-date record of project progress.

The Performance Tracker, which now includes more than 13,000 projects executed by the government as of June 2023, provides geolocations and photographs for easy validation and analysis by individuals and corporate entities.

It covers infrastructure projects across 28 Ministries, the Office of the Government Machinery, as well as the 16 regions and 261 districts of Ghana.

The tracker, organized into 22 thematic areas and 105 categories, aims to empower taxpayers to check, validate, and stay informed about how government resources are being utilized.

It offers transparency and accountability for all government projects implemented thus far.

The platform is accessible to the public via the website www.performancetracker.gov.gh or through the download of the app from the Play Store or App Store.

It provides comprehensive information on various sectors such as roads and transport, education, health, extractives, job creation, and sectoral reports, facilitating easy identification, analysis, comparison, and validation by individuals and corporate entities alike.
