Andre Ayew sent off just 2 minutes into Le Havre debut

By Daniel ODURO, Accra

Black Stars captain Andre Ayew had a disappointing debut for Le Havre in the French Ligue 1, as he was sent off just two minutes after coming on as a substitute against Nantes.

Ayew, who recently joined Le Havre after leaving Nottingham Forest, had hoped for a promising start with his new club.

In the 67th minute of the match, shortly after Ayew entered the field as a substitute, he was shown a red card by the referee for a mistimed tackle on his opponent.

This unexpected turn of events adds a layer of disappointment to Ayew’s debut, and he now faces a suspension that will see him miss the next three games.

Having been without a club before signing with Le Havre just before the November international break, Ayew will need to regroup and focus on making a positive impact once he serves his suspension and returns to the field.
