PRINPAG rallies public to support Akosombo Dam Spillage victims

The Private Newspaper and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG), has set up a dedicated hotline to enable victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage to express their concerns and to also share their experiences relating to the spillage.

PRINPAG in a statement issued yesterday said it is ready to disseminate comprehensive reports, concerns, updates surrounding the spillage to attract the needed attention and support from all quarters in the hope that it will help raise more awareness and engage the attention of the authorities to the situation on the ground.

It also pledged to make its platform and reach available to support efforts to bring attention to the challenges being faced by the victims of the Akosombo dam spillage.

It also made it known that its members on standby to receive any information from callers in the hope that an accurate picture of the unfolding situation is captured.

It called on individuals throughout the country join the effort to raise awareness and advocate appropriate actions and mobilise resources for the affected.

PRINPAG expressed its deepest sympathies to all individuals and communities affected by the dam spillage.
