Kurt Okraku visits tomb of late Alhaji Jawula in the USA

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt E. S. Okraku, has visited the tomb of one of the stalwarts of Ghana Football in the person of Lepowora Mohammed Nurudeen Jawula.

Kurt who is in the United States of America as Ghana’s Black Stars engage in some international friendly games used the opportunity to pay his last respect to late Alhaji Jawula who passed away in the States.

In photos and videos shared by the GFA, Okraku is seen in the company of some of the high-ranking officials of the Association at the graveside of the former sports administrator.

Alhaji Jawula who worked several years with CAF and was also a chief in the Northern Region died in January this year after a short illness.

The late Lepowura was the Chairman of the Ghana Premier League Committee until his demise.

He was also the president of the FA from 1997 to 2000.

It was under his watch that the Black Starlets lifted the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 1995.
