MoF, NIC endorse 4th Banking, Insurance Fair

THE Ministry of Finance and the National Insurance Commission (NIC) have endorsed the fourth Banking and Insurance Fair and have jointly encouraged the participation and support of financial sector regulators.
A letter from the Ministry of Finance to the organisers, Kotlers Management Services, said “as partners, we look forward to a productive fair that will go a long way to promote inclusive growth and development of Ghana’s financial sector.”
The NIC on the other hand said “the National Insurance Commission appreciates your efforts to organise an Insurance, Pensions and Banking Fair to deepen financial inclusion in the country and assure you of our support at all times”.
The Commission stated further that “as an esteemed organiser, you have successfully established the Insurance, Pensions and Banking Fair as a premier platform for industry professionals to network, exchange ideas, and showcase thew products and services We commend your efforts in bringing together key stakeholders from the Insurance, Pensions and Banking sectors under one roof.”
The NIC encouraged the organisers to reach out to other regulatory authorities and industry associations for their support and participation in the fair, adding “we believe that their presence will not only enhance the diversity of exhibitors but also contribute to the overall success of the event.”
Set to take off from the October 11-13, 2023, the event will pool insurance companies, fund managers, brokers, fintech companies, Telcos and financial sector regulators among other businesses to interact with and educate the public on financial literacy , encourage responsible financial conduct and well-informed financial decisions.
The event to be held concurrently at of the University of Ghana Business School (Graduate School) and the Accra Metropolitan Assembl y Premises will also create an enabling environment for companies to market their products and services.
The Fair is themed ‘Making Prudent Financial Decisions m Times of Adversity’.
According to the organisers, the event complements the ongoing nation-wide financial literacy Campaign and is consistent with government’s financial inclusion agenda which seeks to reduce economic vulnerability, income inequality and improve financial sector soundness.
