Andre Ayew scores as Le Havre hold Ligue 1 leaders PSG

Ghana captain Andre Ayew showcased his scoring prowess once again in Le Havre’s league encounter against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday evening.

Ayew, featuring in the starting lineup, found the back of the net, securing his team’s second goal of the match and granting them a temporary 2-1 lead as they headed into halftime.

Despite his contribution, PSG mounted a comeback, ultimately resulting in a 3-3 draw.

The scoring action commenced with Christopher Operi notching the opener for Le Havre just 19 minutes into the game, putting the hosts in an early lead.

However, PSG responded swiftly, with Bradley Barcola equalizing after an assist from Zaire-Emery.

Just before halftime, Ayew delivered once more, restoring Le Havre’s advantage with a well-placed shot to make it 2-1.

Following the break, Abdoulaye Toure extended Le Havre’s lead with another goal.

However, PSG rallied back, with Achraf Hakimi and substitute Goncalo Ramos both finding the net to level the score at 3-3, ultimately ensuring a share of the points.

Ayew’s goal against PSG adds to his impressive tally, now boasting five goals against the formidable opponents, establishing them as his favorite adversaries in Ligue 1.

With his recent strike, the 34-year-old has now notched four goals in the French Ligue 1 since his arrival at Le Havre this season.
