GFA submits proposal to govt to revive football- Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Mr. Kurt Okraku, said with the right investments, the league would grow and players would stay in the domestic leagues.

Mr. Okraku admitted that investing from the basic to the top level of the game is the way to go and that his administration would not shy away from that reality.

He disclosed that GFA has submitted proposals to government which when implemented would encourage players to stay longer in the local league and fight for a place in the national team.

According to him, It is their belief that the government would support their call and push for a paradigm shift.

On the perception that the FA is anti-media, the President debunked the notion, saying that no Executive Committee had had more journalists than the current one.

Mr. Okraku stated that the current administration is media friendly and their door is always open to engage the media.

However, he cautioned that they have to ensure that they are within the confines of the rules.
