My ideas represent Ghana’s future -Dr Bawumia
Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to bring a fresh vision and innovative policies to transform the country if elected as President in 2024.
In his impassioned speech, Vice-President Dr Bawumia urged the people to vote for him in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that he represents the future while referring to former President John Mahama as the past.
Addressing a vibrant rally at the Jubilee Park in Tamale as part of his “thank you tour” of the Northern Region following his election as the Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on November 4, he said “I will bring a new vision. I will bring new policies, and we will transform this country.”
Highlighting his achievements as Vice-President, Dr. Bawumia asserted that his contributions to the country’s development were unmatched.
He assured the crowd that as President, he would introduce his own vision, priorities, and innovative ideas to address the country’s challenges.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, especially former President John Mahama, Dr. Bawumia questioned Mahama’s track record during his presidency.
He challenged Mahama’s promises, asking if he had created jobs, tackled corruption, or implemented initiatives like the issuance of the Ghana Card.
Dr. Bawumia criticized Mahama’s current promises, particularly the concept of a “24 Hour Economy,” arguing that various agencies and institutions in the country were already implementing similar ideas.
He questioned the originality of Mahama’s proposals, asserting that the former President did not comprehend the depth of his promises.
The rally drew a significant crowd, with hundreds of people gathering to hear Dr. Bawumia’s message.
Some attendees displayed placards highlighting the achievements of the government, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and support for the Vice-President.
Accompanied by key figures of the NPP, including the Party’s National Chairman, Ministers of State, and Members of Parliament, Dr. Bawumia’s rally in Tamale showcased the party’s unity and determination as they look ahead to the upcoming elections.
