6ixty to Release “The Redman EP” Today

Ghanaian rapper and producer 6ixty is set to release a deeply personal new body of work, The Redman EP, on June 15, 2026, showcasing a fully self-driven creative process that underscores his evolution from engineering student to independent music force.
Although widely recognized today as an Accra-based musical talent, 6ixty first nurtured his creative instincts long before fame, tracing his artistic beginnings back to his days at Osu Presec High School where he began writing verses and experimenting with beats while balancing academic life.
He later pursued formal education in marine engineering at the Regional Maritime University, graduating in 2013 with a Marine Mechanics background, but music remained a parallel passion that eventually became his primary career path.
His breakthrough came with the 2019 Nyamekye EP, which introduced audiences to a refined sound through tracks such as Close to You, Nyamekye, and Vibes, establishing him as a rising independent act in Ghana’s music landscape.
Now, 6ixty returns with The Redman EP, a seven-track project fully written, arranged, and produced by the artist himself, reflecting a strong DIY ethos and deeper artistic control.
The project features Disco Tech, Come With Me, Moon Steps, Time Will Tell, Night Life, Far Gone, and Dance, each showcasing his range across rhythmic and melodic styles.
Speaking on the project, 6ixty said the EP represents a milestone in his career because it was entirely composed, arranged, and produced by him, highlighting his independence as an artist.
Fans can connect with 6ixty ahead of the release via YouTube 6ixtyworldwide217, Instagram @6ixtyworldwide, X @6ixtyworldwide, and TikTok @6ixty_worldwide for updates and previews.
As anticipation builds toward the June 15 release, the Accra music scene is already buzzing with expectations that The Redman EP will further cement 6ixty’s reputation as one of Ghana’s most versatile independent voices, blending storytelling with experimental production. The project also signals a continued shift toward artist-led production in Ghana’s hip-hop and alternative music space, where creators increasingly take full control of writing, sound design, and distribution. With his growing online presence and loyal fanbase, 6ixty is positioning himself for a wider continental breakthrough soon ahead.
