Nketiah scores hat-trick, Semenyo powers Bournemouth to first league victory

Eddie Nketiah scored his first Premier League hat-trick as Arsenal extended their unbeaten start to the season with victory over Sheffield United at Emirates Stadium.
He opened the scoring with a deft touch and swivelled finish after Declan Rice’s threaded ball caught out the Sheffield defence.
Nketiah’s thumping effort into the roof of the net increased Arsenal’s lead against Paul Heckingbottom’s struggling side.
A sensational strike from 25 yards completed a perfect afternoon for the England forward, who has five league goals this season.
Fabio Vieira scored a late penalty after the video assistant referee (VAR) adjudged Oliver Norwood to have fouled him inside the area.
Takehiro Tomiyasu got on the end of a flick from Mohamed Elneny and poked home from a corner in stoppage time.
Victory lifted Arsenal up to second in the table, two points behind north London rivals Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo played a pivotal role in AFC Bournemouth’s hard-fought victory over Burnley during matchday 10 of the English Premier League on a Saturday afternoon.
Semenyo, who started the match, lasted for 69 minutes but made his presence felt, contributing to AFC Bournemouth’s 2-1 win against Burnley at the Vitality Stadium with a great finish.
The match opened with Charlie Taylor giving Burnley an early lead, finding the net just 11 minutes into the game.
However, Antoine Semenyo responded with a superb solo effort, equalising for AFC Bournemouth in the 22nd minute.
Philip Billing sealed the victory for AFC Bournemouth with a crucial second goal in the 76th minute, securing all three points for the Cherries.
While this became the Cherries’ first league win of the season, it marked Antoine Semenyo’s second goal of the season and his consistent performances are becoming increasingly vital.
As Ghana prepares for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Semenyo’s contributions on the pitch are expected to play a significant role in the national team’s campaign.
