Swedru All Blacks Appoint Kassim Mingle as New Head Coach

Ghana Premier League side Swedru All Blacks have confirmed the appointment of Kassim Mingle as their new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Mingle joins the Swedru-based club on a short-term contract that will run until the end of the 2025/26 campaign. His appointment follows the club’s decision to mutually part ways with Ahmed Fathi, along with video analyst Mohammed Adily, due to health-related reasons.

The former Nations FC head coach is expected to guide the newly promoted side as they seek to consolidate their place in the top flight after securing promotion ahead of the new season.

In announcing his appointment, the club said Mingle brings “a wealth of experience, strong leadership qualities and a proven track record in Ghanaian football.” Swedru All Blacks also highlighted his discipline, player development skills and winning mentality as key factors behind the decision.

Swedru All Blacks are currently 11th on the Ghana Premier League table with 24 points from 20 matches and have also progressed to the round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.

Mingle is set to take charge of his first match on Sunday, February 1, when All Blacks travel to Bibiani’s Duns Park to face GoldStars on matchday 21 of the league.
