FC Samartex bounced back in emphatic fashion, securing a hard-fought 1-0 win over Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale, handing the home side another frustrating afternoon in the Ghana Premier League.

Agyenim Boateng continued his fine run of form, taking his tally to two goals in his last three league appearances, underlining his growing influence in Samartex’s attack.
The victory also served as a measure of revenge for Samartex, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Karela United in their first-round meeting in Samreboi. Determined to bounce back after a goalless draw against Vision FC last weekend at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samartex displayed resilience and discipline to see out the win on the road.
The result lifts FC Samartex to 6th place on the league table with 31 points, injecting renewed belief into their campaign as the season reaches a crucial phase.
For Karela United, however, the pressure continues to mount. The Tamale-based side has now failed to win any of their last four matches, raising concerns over consistency as the battle for league survival intensifies.
Samartex will now focus on Matchday 20, where they host struggling Nations FC at their favoured Nsenkyire Sports Arena. With confidence restored and momentum building, the Timber Giants will aim to extend their resurgence and climb further up the league standings.
