Sarkodie, King Promise, Kweku Smoke to Headline Free ‘Music Is My Life’ Concert on New Year’s Day 2026 in Tema

Tema is set to kick off 2026 in grand style as the Music Is My Life Concert returns on Thursday, January 1, 2026, bringing together some of Ghana’s biggest music stars for a massive New Year’s Day celebration.
The highly anticipated concert will take place at Big Base Street, Tema Community 2, drawing music lovers from across the country for what has become one of Ghana’s most iconic live music events and the unofficial launch of the nation’s annual concert calendar.
This year’s lineup promises an explosive night of performances, featuring Sarkodie, King Promise, Kweku Smoke, Ras Kuuku, Lasmid, Mista Myles, Kimilist, and the Asakaa Boy, Reggie, Jay Bahd, Kwaku DMC, Kojo Trilla, and SKYFACE SDW, alongside other surprise acts. Fans can expect a powerful mix of hip-hop, highlife, afrobeats, and street anthems on one stage.
Describing the event as more than entertainment, Mubarak Nkrumah (K9), CEO of Mimlife Records, said the concert represents a cultural movement rooted in community. “Music Is My Life Concert is more than just a show; it’s a movement,” he noted.
Produced by Mimlife Records as part of its social responsibility to the Tema community, the concert underscores the label’s commitment to giving back through music and culture. Eric Asmah, General Manager of Mimlife Records, added that the event continues to set the standard for New Year celebrations in Ghana by blending established superstars with emerging talents.
Admission to the Music Is My Life Concert is completely free, with no tickets required. Organizers encourage patrons to arrive early, as gates open at 6:00 PM.
