15 Stocks Record Gains on GSE in October 2025 at 76%

Fifteen equities on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) recorded gains in October 2025, reinforcing Ghana’s position as home to one of Africa’s best-performing stock markets this year.
The top-performing counters included Clydestone (Ghana) PLC, which surged by 64.71%, followed by Societe Generale Ghana PLC with 63.94%, and Fan Milk PLC at 49.53%. Other strong performers were Cocoa Processing Company PLC (33.33%), Ecobank Ghana PLC (28.67%), Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC (20.66%), GCB Bank PLC (20.35%), and SIC Insurance Company PLC (14.29%).
Further gains were recorded by Ghana Oil Company PLC (9.66%), TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC (9.46%), Ecobank Transnational Inc. (8.79%), Enterprise Group PLC (7.81%), Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC (5.04%), Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC (3.89%), and Benso Palm Plantation PLC (3.15%).
On the losing side, CalBank PLC shed 23.44%, making it the worst performer for the month. Other laggards included NewGold (-6.48%), Scancom PLC (-3.45%), Mega African Capital PLC (-3.35%), Unilever Ghana PLC (-1.00%), and Access Bank Ghana PLC (-0.86%).
The Summary of October 2025 Market Activities indicated that equity market activity remained vibrant, underpinned by improved investor confidence and robust domestic participation.
The GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) rose by 2.66% to close at 8,385.35 points, pushing its year-to-date return to 71.53%. The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) similarly strengthened, recording a significant 10.39% gain to settle at 4,193.90 points, extending its year-to-date advance to 76.16%.
Equity trading volumes closed the month at 44.12 million shares, valued at GHS 217.21 million. While this represented a 4.04% dip in volume, the total value traded increased by 14.75% compared to September, signalling higher investor demand for premium stocks.
GFIM Performance
Activity on the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM) also improved in October. Treasury Bills dominated trading, accounting for 44.31% of total volumes. Government Notes and Bonds followed with 42.60%, while Bank of Ghana Bills contributed 11.72%, and Corporate Bonds made up the remaining 1.37%.
Total fixed-income traded volume reached 29.13 billion, marking a 4.66% increase from the 27.83 billion recorded in September.
Year-on-year, traded volume climbed by an impressive 77.23%, underscoring heightened investor activity and sustained demand for government securities. The year-to-date traded volume hit 214.14 billion, a robust 58.39% growth over the 135.19 billion recorded in the same period of 2024.
