Fuel Prices to Increase from 16 November — COPEC Confirms
Petroleum consumers should brace themselves for higher fuel costs as prices at the pumps are expected to go up from Saturday, 16 November 2025. This follows new projections released by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC).
According to the Chamber, the price of petrol is set to rise by about 3.38 per cent, increasing from the current average of GH¢12.18 per litre to GH¢12.59 per litre. Diesel is expected to record an even steeper adjustment of 9.81 per cent, moving from GH¢12.49 per litre to GH¢13.71 per litre.
The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will also go up by 1.97 per cent, reaching an estimated GH¢11.87 per kilogram.
COPEC attributed the impending increases to a combination of factors, including the surge in global crude oil prices and recent fluctuations in the value of the Ghanaian cedi. It further indicated that the final figures at the pumps may differ slightly among oil marketing companies, though they are expected to fall within a five per cent margin of the projected adjustments.
Despite the expected rise, the Chamber urged oil marketing companies to cushion consumers where possible by absorbing portions of the upward adjustments in order to minimise the impact on households and businesses.
The statement, signed by COPEC’s Executive Secretary, Duncan Amoah, reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to keeping the public informed as market conditions evolve.
