Shatta Wale could lead thousands to Christ – Perez Musik

Ghanaian gospel musician Perez Musik has expressed belief that dancehall icon Shatta Wale could lead thousands to Christ if he fully dedicates himself to gospel music.

Speaking in an interview, Perez Musik reflected on the massive turnout at ShattaFest 2025, where tens of thousands filled Independence Square. He commended Shatta Wale’s immense influence and reach, describing his public prayer at the event as a powerful moment.

“If Shatta declares that he is done with secular music and wants to do gospel, do you know how many people would come to Christ? All for one man,” Perez Musik said.

He indicated that Shatta Wale possesses a unique anointing and gift that could be used mightily by God, emphasising that Christians should be open to how God works through different people.

Perez also praised the Church of Pentecost for opening the event with prayer and recalled how Shatta Wale was one of the first Ghanaian artists to use social media effectively to build a loyal fanbase.

“This is over 20 years of work. Shatta was one of the first to use Facebook to promote his music. I knew people who played his songs all day, back to back, for years. That is influence,” he remarked.

According to Perez Musik, Shatta Wale’s long-standing connection with fans and his spiritual potential make him one of the few artists who could cause a mass movement toward Christ if he ever turns to gospel music.
