New online registration for National Service opens today

The Director-General of the Ghana National Service Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, has announced that online registration for the 2025/2026 national service year will officially open on Wednesday, 9 October 2025, and close on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Ms Seddoh explained that the registration exercise will take place exclusively on the newly developed digital platform, following the nullification of all registrations conducted in June 2025.

She assured prospective personnel that refunds will be issued to all individuals who had previously completed registration and payment on the old system, but emphasised that they must re-register on the new portal to be eligible for posting.

“Every individual who registered in June will receive a full refund, but they are required to complete a new registration on the redesigned platform,” Ms Seddoh stated.

According to the Director-General, the decision followed the outcome of a technical and forensic audit conducted on the Central Service Management Platform (CSMP), which revealed multiple system inefficiencies and data irregularities.

She disclosed that over 2,000 cases of data discrepancies were detected during the audit, raising concerns over possible ghost names and inaccurate records.

“The Authority takes issues of data integrity very seriously. The audit revealed worrying inconsistencies, including age variations and duplication of entries, necessitating a complete overhaul of the old platform,” Ms Seddoh noted.

The audit findings prompted a directive from President John Dramani Mahama, instructing the National Service Authority to design and deploy a more robust, transparent and secure digital registration system.

At the press briefing, the NSA boss confirmed that all previous registrations are null and void, reiterating that all prospective service personnel must register afresh through the new online system.

Step-by-step guidelines for the registration process will be published on the Authority’s revamped website: www.gnsa.gov.gh.
