Obrafour hails Sarkodie as most respectful, hardworking artiste
Ghanaian rap legend Obrafour has showered glowing praise on Sarkodie, describing him as the most respectful and hardworking young artiste he has encountered in his decades-long career.
In an interview with Code Micky, the Hiplife pioneer did not mince words in commending Sarkodie’s deep reverence for industry veterans, noting that such humility is rare among today’s crop of artistes.
“I am yet to see any other colleague of his who displays such respect and empathy for his seniors in the game,” Obrafour stated.
Beyond respect, Obrafour lauded Sarkodie’s unmatched dedication to his craft.
“He used to record at least one song every single day when I met him. It was unmatched. I have not seen anything like that before,” he recalled, adding that such relentless effort explains Sarkodie’s massive catalogue and sustained dominance in Ghanaian rap.
Obrafour was quick to clarify that his praise was not just out of admiration, but a recognition of Sarkodie’s exceptional qualities as both an artiste and a person.
“I am not saying this to flatter him, but I genuinely admire him for his work rate.”
The two rap icons have a history of powerful collaborations, including hits like ‘Moesha, Always on My Mind, Saa Okodie No, Hope (Brighter Day), Hiplife and Life.’
Their most recent performance together at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert in Kumasi once again reminded fans of their undeniable chemistry on stage.
