Referee Patrice Milazare to officiate Ghana vs CAR World Cup qualifier
Experienced Mauritian referee Patrice Milazare has been appointed to officiate the 2026 FIFA World Cup penultimate qualifier between the Central African Republic and Ghana.
Milazare will be assisted by compatriot Louis Ralph Fabien Cauvelet (Assistant I) and Shaji Padayachy from Seychelles (Assistant II), while Noris Aaron Godfrey Arisol, also from Seychelles, will serve as the fourth official.
Senegal’s Fatou Gaye has been named as the Referee Assessor, with Morocco’s Jamal Kaouchi serving as the Match Commissioner.
Nigeria’s Odochi Joan Efughu will act as the Security Officer for the match, which is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 October 2025, at 16:00 GMT at Stade El Abdi in El Jadida, Morocco.
The Black Stars could seal qualification for the 2026 World Cup with a victory over the Central African Republic.
The West Africans currently sit top of Group I with two matches remaining, holding a three-point lead over second-placed Madagascar on 16 points.
