Thomas Partey set for Arsenal exit as Fenerbahce and AC Milan show interest

Ghanaian international Thomas Partey could leave Arsenal as a free agent at the end of June, with contract renewal talks between the player’s camp and the club reportedly at a standstill.
According to a report by CaughtOffside, negotiations over a new deal have hit an impasse due to a disagreement over wages. Partey is said to be pushing for a pay raise above his current £200,000-a-week salary, while Arsenal are unwilling to budge on the terms.
The midfielder, who recently turned 32, enjoyed one of his best seasons since joining the Gunners from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
He made 52 appearances in the 2024-25 campaign, scoring four goals and providing three assists, impressing both in midfield and at right-back.
Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to keep the Ghanaian international to bolster squad depth, even with the likely arrival of Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
However, the lack of progress in talks has increased the likelihood of a departure, with the player’s agent reportedly informing Arsenal that Partey will leave if a revised offer is not made.
Fenerbahce, now coached by Jose Mourinho, and AC Milan, under new boss Massimiliano Allegri, have both submitted concrete offers to the former Atletico Madrid star. Partey is understood to have held discussions with both managers.
There is now believed to be only a 50-50 chance Partey remains at the Emirates, with his contract set to expire on June 30. If he departs, Arsenal are likely to explore potential replacements, with Sevilla’s Lucien Agouma among the names being considered.
