The Office of the 24 Hour+ Initiative has begun circulating a comprehensive document outlining Ghana’s flagship economic transformation agenda, calling on citizens, investors, and development partners to engage actively with the vision.
In a statement, the office highlighted that the 24 Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme seeks to build a self-reliant, industrial, and export-driven economy that functions efficiently around the clock.
“This programme is about mobilising Ghanaians from all walks of life to transform our economy from the ground up,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the 24H+ programme prioritizes key sectors including agro-processing, digital innovation, infrastructure, logistics, skills development, and export expansion. The document highlights a strategic shift away from import dependence, targeting value chain integration and a competitive workforce as drivers of inclusive economic growth.
The 24H+ initiative is built on the belief that real transformation can only be achieved with full national participation and clear collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The office noted that, in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s directive, the programme document is being shared widely to stimulate public reflection and discussion.
“We invite all Ghanaians and stakeholders to read the document, reflect on its vision, and share your thoughts,” the statement added. The office emphasized that the public can access the programme document through official government channels.
