Danso hails Spurs’ Europa League victory
Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso has shared his delight after helping Tottenham Hotspur win their first major trophy in 17 years following victory over Manchester United in the final of the Europa League.
The RC Lens-owned player, currently on loan at Spurs, replaced match-winner Brennan Johnson with ten minutes remaining as the North London side held on to make history in Bilbao.
Having joined the English outfit in January, Danso disclosed that his decision to move to Spurs was backed by the dream of winning major trophies.
His dream came true last night as Tottenham ended their 17-year wait for a trophy and also qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season.
Danso posted on X after the game: “Living the dream. Europa League winners 2025.”
“Europa League champions!! 40+ years in the making, forever grateful to be part of this great team. Glory to God,” he added.
The Austrian international’s loan deal ends on June 30, 2025, but the Europa League winners have the option to buy the defender.
