Arsenal prepare to make move for Mohammed Kudus

By Lukman MUMIN, Accra

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to invest heavily in signing Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United this summer.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Gunners have identified the versatile forward as a strong option to boost their attacking line for next season.

Kudus, 24, made a promising start to life in the Premier League following his switch from Ajax last year, contributing 14 goals and assists in his debut season. However, his performances have dipped this campaign, with only four goals and two assists in 29 league appearances.

Despite the drop in form, Arsenal believe Kudus fits Mikel Arteta’s system due to his versatility. The player is comfortable on either flank and can slot into attacking midfield when needed. His technical ability, ace, and eye for goal from distance make him a strong candidate to

offer competition and cover in key areas.

Fichajes reports that West Ham could be open to selling Kudus for around £60 million, and Arsenal are said to be willing to meet the valuation if  they decide to pursue him formally.
