Abedi Pele meets Black Maidens ahead of WAFU Championship

Ghana legend Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’ visited the Black Maidens during their training session at the GFA Technical Center in Prampram as they prepare for the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup.
The three-time African Footballer of the Year praised the young team for their dedication and urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their football journey.
The Black Maidens are preparing ahead of the WAFU Zone B championship to be held in Accra.
“I am impressed with how well you are executing your coaches instructions on the pitch. Stay focused and be disciplined,” Abedi Pele advised.
He added: “I eagerly look forward to seeing the Black Maidens dominate in the upcoming tournament, and I hope you win it.”
The Black Maidens have shown strong form in their preparations, securing back-to-back wins in friendly matches against Rootz Sistaz FC, with 5-1 and 2-0 scorelines.
Their next test will be against FC Epiphany Warriors on Friday, December 6, at Prampram.
The Ghanaian icon’s visit is expected to boost the team’s morale as they aim to make a mark in the upcoming competition.
