Steve Cooper hails Jordan Ayew’s experience in Tranmere Rovers win

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has praised the impact of Black
Stars striker Jordan Ayew in his side’s thumping victory over Tranmere
Rovers in the EFL Cup.
The Ghana international scored and provided an assist as the Foxes
strolled to a 4-0 victory at the King Power Stadium and progressed to
the third round of the Cup competition.
The 32-year-old’s debut goal opened the floodgates as the Premier League
side secured their first win of the campaign.
“It (Ayew’s goal) was really important in the game because we needed
attacking players to do something to make a difference. He did that. He
had a good impact in the game, scored, got the right amount of minutes
and that’s something we would have written if we could have planned it,”
said Cooper after the game.
“He’s obviously an experienced player and he’ll be determined to do well
for us now in the Premier League. He was so keen to come here and we
look forward to involving him and we’re going to need him alongside
everyone else as well.”
Leicester City will welcome Ayew’s former club Aston Villa on Saturday
in search of their first win in the Premier League.
