Brest shows interest in out-of-favour Lens midfielder Samed Salis

French outfit Brest have set their sights on Ghana international Salis Abdul Samed as they look to bolster their midfield before the transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old, who joined Lens in 2022, has recently been moved out of the first-team squad along with teammate Stijn Spierings, marking a significant setback for the former Clermont Foot player.
Salis, a key member of the Ghanaian national team, now finds himself on the transfer list as Lens head coach Will Still seeks to trim the squad.
Meanwhile, Brest have emerged as a strong contender to secure the midfielder on loan, having already made contact with Lens to discuss a potential deal.
Despite interest from Montpellier and Saint Etienne earlier in the transfer window, both clubs have reportedly ended their pursuit of the Ghanaian. Brest is now looking to finalise the deal as they aim to strengthen their squad with Salis, who played a crucial role in Lens’ successful campaign two seasons ago, helping the club secure UEFA Champions League qualification.
