Stonebwoy graduates from GIMPA with Second Class Upper degree
Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has successfully completed his degree at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), graduating with a Second Class Upper. Stonebwoy, who had previously paused his education to focus on his music career, returned to school in 2021 and attended his graduation ceremony held at GIMPA’s premises accompanied by his family and fellow music stars, including Chris Waddle.
Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, comes from a high-achieving family. His wife, Dr. Louisa, is a certified dentist, and they have two children, Catherine Jidula and Janam.
To celebrate his academic achievement, the Satekla family threw a party at their home following his final exam. They all attended the graduation ceremony in grand style, highlighting the importance of this milestone.
This accomplishment marks a significant chapter in Stonebwoy’s life.
He had previously studied business administration at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) but left to pursue his music career.
Encouraged by his wife, Dr. Louisa, who even purchased his admission forms, Stonebwoy resumed his studies at GIMPA, driven by his passion for public administration and a desire to contribute to public welfare.
During a private celebration party for Stonebwoy’s graduation, his father, Mr. Etse Satekla, made a surprising revelation.
He shared that he used the birthdate of Stonebwoy and his late twin brother to stake a lottery bet when they were born, which resulted in a significant win.
The money he won from the lottery helped him take care of all the traditional ceremonies required for twins.
Mr. Satekla expressed his belief in Stonebwoy’s destined greatness, saying, “This my son, they were two.
In fact, Etse was born to be a lucky man. When he was born, I was in the world, I wasn’t for Christ. I used his birthdate to buy Lotto, and I won. That is what I used to perform all the activities about twins, and I was free.”
The private party celebrating Stonebwoy’s graduation was attended by several celebrities, including Nadia Buari, Bola Ray, Keche, John Dumelo, Gloria Sarfo, and Chris Waddle, making it a memorable occasion for the renowned artist and his family.
